Wheeler Presents: United States Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble

For more than five decades, the United States Navy Band Commodores Jazz Ensemble has represented the finest traditions of American big band jazz. As the Navy’s premier jazz ensemble, the Commodores have been performing for audiences across the nation since 1969, showcasing a repertoire that spans classic swing, contemporary jazz, and beloved standards performed with exceptional musicianship.
Comprised of 18 world-class musicians, the ensemble continues the legacy of the great American big bands while serving as musical ambassadors for the United States Navy. In addition to national concert tours, the Commodores support military ceremonies, honor veterans through performance, provide jazz education clinics, and perform for distinguished military and civilian leaders throughout the country.
