SUMMARY:Wheeler Presents: Rhys Darby
DESCRIPTION:Rhys Darby brings his unmistakable comedic voice to the stage\, shaped by a career that spans beloved television\, film\, and live performance. Widely recognized as Murray in HBO’s Flight of the Conchords and as Stede Bonnet in Our Flag Means Death\, Darby has collaborated frequently with Taika Waititi across film and television\, including What We Do in the Shadows\, Hunt for the Wilderpeople\, and Next Goal Wins.At his core\, Darby remains a stand-up innovator. His performances blend physical comedy\, sound effects\, character work\, and offbeat observations into a highly original style that has defined five acclaimed specials\, including Mystic Time Bird. Beyond the stage\, his creative world extends to writing\, voice acting\, and long-running podcasts exploring cryptozoology and the unexplained. This appearance reflects Darby’s wide-ranging imagination and enduring connection to live audiences\, grounded in a distinctive comedic perspective that continues to evolve.
